We been making sure that we have been focussing on making sure we have been making time for date nights. Putting the effort to turning the screens off, and spending that time with each other. It can be hard to do this, especially at the time of writing this blog, the UK is still in a lockdown. Even once we come out of a lockdown, we will still continue the date nights – if it means heading out, or staying home, we just want to do something fun.
We spend a lot of time with each other during the lockdown and our daily lives, but how much do we actually SPEND that time with each other. Just something fun, something creative, something to enjoy, keep your brain ticking. Here are some date night ideas that you can enjoy.

Under The Stars
For the igloo lovers!!
Under The Stars was launched at the start of 2021 during the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately a lot of people have missed out on big occasions since the pandemic started, such as big birthdays, engagements, weddings, baby showers, the list goes on.They hope to bring some light into these weird times by providing an experience to enjoy with loved ones, and when we’re allowed to again, friends also!
They offer unique experiences such as date night in an igloo, with a 360 view of the stars above you, movie nights in a boho style bell tent, and many more! They plan to add more to this as time goes by! All packages can be bespoke if you have a special occasion so any ideas you have throw their way and they will see what they can do!

Wild Ivy Bell Tents
For the tent lovers!
Wild Ivy Bell Tents began in October 2020 in the height of a difficult year. They are based in a rural village outside of Bedfordshire and cover the neighbouring villages around Bedford.
Their Bell Tents are high quality Canvas and fully waterproof. Suitable for any occasion, birthdays, wedding anniversaries, garden parties, weekend family glamping, and certainly fit for any age! They want the tents to be versatile according to your celebration so please let them know the occasion and they can move beds and decor to suit you.
All Bell Tent themes come fully dressed with bunting, lights, bedding, beds, rugs, and most importantly they supply heating and complementary snacks! Wild Ivy is collaborating with local businesses to give you additional extras to make your booking even more special and these will be available to view on their services page.

Looking for a date night at home and want scrummy vegan food? Well Scrumdiddly Kitchen is the perfect choice. They specialise in innovative and ethical plant-based street food, cakes and unique event catering.
They often hold food evenings for takeaway, such as Chinese, Burgers, Kebabs, and cake boxes! Make sure you book in as they fill up fast. Super tasty food, I have had the pleasure of their Chinese evening, and plenty of their cakes!
If you are looking for a lunch, then pop into Made In Bedford, where they regularly sell their treats!

Cross Cookies Bedford
Cross Cookies came to be from a simple tradition between two people: opening a bag of freshly baked cookies in the car with seat warmers on after finishing the weekly shop. A quick nibble and pause, sharing a moment together before heading back to regular daily tasks. A box of cookies are the perfect gift for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Engagements, and every occasion.
Cross Cookies is dedicated to making the best and freshest cookies in Bedford: they bake our cookies the night before they go out to be delivered.
I’ve personally never seen a cookie company that has so many flavour options, especially Vegan options – so check them out!

Liquid Mobile Bar
Introducing you to Liquid Mobile Bar! You know me, I love a good cocktail!
Liquid Mobile Bar started up in 2017 with the aim of providing the best quality drinks to all the wonderful customers out there, wherever and whenever they meet up.
In September 2019, Cocktail/Mocktail hampers were added to their services. These were a very popular choice during lockdown, as you can imagine. In October 2020, it became clear that parties would not take place, so as an alternative they introduced Deluxe Cocktail Making Kits!
They wanted to bring out something incredibly special with a luxury touch, along with an exciting at home experience to do with friends and family virtually. There are a variety of kit options for all occasions ranging from Birthdays to Anniversaries – all available to order from their shop!

The Flying Cork
Looking to treat yourself to a fancy wine night? Make sure to check out The Flying Cork. An Independent family run Wine Merchants with over 25 years experience in the wine trade, they have enjoyed serving the people of Bedfordshire for over 12 years.
You’ll find everything you need in their shop. They stock a large range of wine from smaller producers which means you won’t find any of their wines on the supermarket shelves. They also stock an eclectic range of whiskies and spirits from all over the world. Free local delivery, bespoke gift packaging and comprehensive advice.
They are currently doing online Zoom wine tasting, which is a great way to host a wine tasting without leaving the comfort of your own home. Pick your wine selection, or give them a budget and they will do the rest for you. This is perfect for a Birthday or Anniversary coming up, or you just fancy doing something a little different.

The Little Orchard
The Little Orchard Co. was founded in November 2020 by husband and wife Fiona & Jez. Together for 20 years, married for 10 with 5 children and 1 grandchild (so far ?) between them they have always had their hands full.
During lockdown with more time on their hands they began creating wax melts for their children and their families and friends as gifts. The love for the strong, long lasting fragrances became apparent very quickly as they were constantly being requested for more – this was where TLOC was born!
They currently offer wax melts, candles, wax burners and lamps with lots of new products planned for future releases.

I love a good craft evening, and Brush Party is a perfect evening for it! At the moment, they are offering classes in the comfort of your home, but when lockdown is over, they offer evening classes!
A Brush Party is perfect for hanging out with friends, or making new friends, an unusual date night, or simply to get away from it all on your own. You don’t need to have ever painted before to come to one of their events. The artist will walk you through creating your masterpiece, and honestly, you will be amazed by what you can create!
I’ve attended the sessions in person, and also done an evening session at home, and had a great time! Try it out!
